Frequently Asked Questions

Will it tickle or hurt?

Reflexology does not tickle. While the feet are being worked there may be some discomfort experienced, but this is an indication of imbalance within the body. Using appropriate techniques to work a particular reflex will ease discomfort and in turn the body may begin to heal itself.

FAQ. Reflexologist Tamworth 1

What does a treatment involve?

Your first session will include a full consultation - this includes essential information which will enable me to tailor your treatment to your needs and priorities. The treatment itself will last about one hour. For most this is an incredibly relaxing experience and a little bit of 'time out'.

How will I feel after a treatment?

Response to treatment is very individual, the same person may respond to a treatment differently one week to another. Most people find reflexology very relaxing - some even fall asleep during the session. Words frequently used to describe the after-effects are 'soothing' and 'calming'. You may feel energised, uplifted, positive, or, for a short time, you may feel very tired or emotional - these are all positive signs which indicate your body is responding to tteatment.

How many treatments will I need?

For many people, the effects of reflexology tend to be cumulative so initially weekly treatments are recommended for four to six weeks, particularly if you are trying to manage a long term condition. During this period the body's own natural healing abilities are kick-started and frequency may be reduced - monthly, bi-monthly or even half yearly in order to maintain the body's balance and harmony.
Of course, many people book a one-off appointment for relaxation and pampering - something most of us could do more with more often!

How much does it cost?

A reflexology session, lasting aproximately 1 hour costs 35.00 - this includes your initial consultation and my travel expenses (please allow 1.5 hours for your first treatment).

I also offer discounts for block booking - pay for 5 treatments and the sixth is free. Please check the Prices page for occasional offers and discounts.
